Here's a hodge-podge of stuff really so people can see what my (fairly typical) E32 looks like in some technical places.... I've not gone beserk over the engine, as they varied across the sub-models anyway...

The fusebox is under the hood....
But the battery lives under the rear seat - it just pulls up (at the front) then out as long as you don't have power rear-seats.... BEWARE, it is very large. Don't mess with this battery without due care.
The other side of the back-seat "well" is the General module - this controls lots of the creature comforts of the E32. Take note of the extra fuses that are near it too... (the 4 green ones). Your car may have more, depends on options.
Both sides under the rear seat have a lot of earths - these posts should always be tight and the wiring OK. On the battery side you can also see the tops of the fusible links on the main power take-off wires (red ones)
The heater in the E32 is very complex. If it gets stuck on hot you can always pull the control plug to the electric valves in the interim until you can investigate...
There are LOTS of relays on the E32s. If you need to get one out, spread the arms of the clip holding it in first (with a flat blade screwdriver down the side). In a pinch, you can try a generic relay from a service station if the pin layout matches and the curcuit on the side does as well (your risk, be careful).
